Hi Guys,

Just to keep you up to date with details of the Ensemble Course in April on Skye.

Ive got some amazing music for the ensemble to tackle, great tunes from around the world including music that only this ensemble would get to play.

The arrangements are bold, exciting, funny and fierce for example 'Salvation Reel' (Simon Bradley), 'In The Mood' (Glen Miller) into 'C Jam Blues' (Count Basie) into 'Road To Erisaig',(Adam Sutherland).

All the arrangements include parts for beginners through to advanced players so don't feel you may not be good enough to participate. This is an 'inclusive' not 'exclusive' ensemble.

Singing will also feature in the ensembles repertoire; Gospel, African Lullaby, Sea Shanties whatever we feel in the moment!

There has already been a lot of interest in the course, if you haven't already confirmed your booking and are still interested please let us know so we can keep you a place and you don't miss out on this amazing experience!

Rick Taylor Ensemble Course

At last Rick has decided it’s time to run his own ensemble course in the Spring Break 2013 on the Isle of Skye

This will be a unique opportunity for players of all levels and disciplines to come together and create the kind of thrilling music only a large ensemble can truly produce, led by one of the ‘Worlds Greatest Ensemble Leaders’.

You do not need to be able to read music to join the ensemble as participants will receive all relevant music, practice and listening material on booking confirmation. Players of more than one instrument are encouraged to bring and play as many as they wish.

Guest musician/tutors from all musical backgrounds will be popping in to share their expertise throughout the week.

The course begins on Monday 8th April and ends with a concert on Friday 12th April, the cost for the course only will be £250.

Tea and coffee will provided free of charge. A daily light lunch can be ordered at a cost of £5 per person. Please inform us in advance of any special dietary needs.

The course will be held in Broadford Village Hall, Broadford Isle of Skye.

The hall is 9 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh train station (Inverness line).

15 miles from Armadale Ferry (to Mallaig).

4 miles from the nearest campsite.

It is within walking distance of 1 Backpacker Hostel, 1 YHA Hostel,

several restaurants, pubs, co-op grocery store and many B&Bs.
